This spacious, clean, and peaceful Vietnamese restaurant features a rustic natural-wood interior with high ceilings and comfy booth seating under overhanging thatched “roofs.” The decor at Tigon is designed to resemble a Vietnamese country farm, complete with a water buffalo statue.

An extensive menu offers rice plates, vermicelli bowls, pan-fried noodles, noodle soups, pho, and banh mi sandwiches. Portions are generous. I particularly liked the rice in clay pot, which featured plenty of lightly cooked vegetables and shrimp at the top and plenty of chewy baked rice at the bottom of a small iron casserole pot. The garlic noodles are also very tasty, especially with barbecue pork, but you have to pay extra to add veggies. It is fun that the tasty Thai iced tea is served in a mini stoneware melon jar.
