Opened in September of 1865 and lectured in twice by Mark Twain (Jack London and Motley Crue have also appeared here), the Nevada Theatre is the oldest original-use theater building in California. It is refurbished to appear as it did when it first opened and is used year-round for plays, concerts, films, and other performing arts events.
