Located adjacent to the Oxbow Public Market, the popular Model Bakery dispenses freshly baked breads and pastries as well as picnic fare. Lunch items include soups made from scratch, fresh salads made with seasonal local ingredients, and a selection of sandwiches made with artisan breads. The fluffy pizza is cut in generous slices. Pastry cases are packed with flaky croissants, moist banana bread, stacks of cookies, savory bread puddings, and plenty more. And don’t miss the spectacular English muffins. Breakfast sandwiches made with the muffins are available. Note that Oprah has them flown to her house, and I always purchase some to take home.

Seating is available outside at umbrella-shaded picnic tables. This is a branch of the original Model Bakery in St. Helena.
